how long havent we seen marcus with his trumpet?
and he is so proud that he could still pitch his high high C.
anyw, when i talked to the juniors, no one believed that marcus was a ex-band leader and ex-drum major. lol
dont play play... marcus cannot be provoked. haha
and another MIA girl, ying ying, who slimmed down so much. :/
but she wore black la. so i was telling her that her red nails are just not enough.
i thought this bow tie damn cute la. haha.
clarinets section. woots. more guys now :D
one of the guys is a korean la. hahaha.
ying ying was like: "how to say 'hello' in korean?, oh shit, i forgot"
me: "an nyoung ha seh yo.... please dont throw ex-members face"
hahaha.
anyw, syf this year held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium
went down with the band and showed support!!
assessment bands started at 3pm, display bands started at 4pm with TK 1st.
when i arrived at SIS, only managed to catch 1 assessment band: Maris Stella High
damn cool, coz they played "Nobody" by Wondergirls, and DANCED "Sorry, Sorry" by Superjunior.

i was really shocked with TK's opening... it was quite impressive i must say.
kinda shocking that they got Gold only. anyw, i still applaud them for a performance well done.
it is damn tiring ok! must applaud for effort.

subsequently, Ping Yi performed 2nd and gotGold as well.

4th band: Yusoff Ishak - Bronze
dm dropped mace on concrete floor and the metal end of the mace came off. he had a hard time.
couldnt find any video related to YI on youtube.
next band was Springfield who got Bronze.

6th band: BOWEN!!!

they had theme about birds... swan, ostrich etc.

Final band was Deyi... who won Gold with Honours... Best Display Band and Best Drum Major awards.
*applauds*... so stunned when i saw their props and the dm.

thanks to garry and gang who went down to SIS at 6+am in the morning to fix it up.
and in order of appearance...
TKSS - Gold.... (silent pause, then some cheering got louder)
PYSS - Gold ... (cheering got louder)
at that instance, we thought Gold was the highest award...
BPGH - Silver ... (cheering)
YISS - Bronze ... (cheering)
SFSS - Silver ... (cheering)
BWSS - Gold .... (bloody hell, MC paused here) with Honours. ..... (CHEERING AND SCREAMING LIKE WTF.. no joke)
WSSS - Silver (cheering)
DYSS - Gold with Honours .... (MORE CHEERING AND SCREAMING TOO)
then, announcement of best dm and best display band... both went to Deyi... and they screamed like mad.
not bad for Bowen... SECOND PLACE. nice huh :)
after that, all of us (ex-band members) rushed out and down, wanting to go hug the band... but security denied access la. NO FUN. not like when we were at the outdoor stadium.
so, all of us were left outside the stadium hanging to dry...
but i got some of them to take a group photo
anyw, everyone got back to school and i took more photographs.
